I noticed a beautiful lady today at a gym and felt like God was highlighting her to me.
She walked past me several times and we briefly exchanged words with one another. She was in the middle of a high-intensity workout and I happened to be in her path. When it appeared that she was finished with her workout, I approached her. I began to talk to her about fitness and prophecy started to flow.
I shared stuff that I felt like God wanted to share with her. She told me that she needed to hear those words today too. I also felt like God was highlighting the word “limping” before we started our conversation. I noticed that she was limping in the middle of her workout. As we talked, I asked her if she had pain in her body. She said she did.
I asked her if she would like prayer and she was all in. The first time I prayed and asked her to move her body so she could see if the pain had decreased, she said nothing changed. I then heard the word “father wounds” and knew that God was leading me into inner healing prayer.
I asked her if she would ask Jesus who she needed to forgive.
She did and confirmation came: She heard that she needed to forgive her father.
I felt like God was leading me to apologize to her on behalf of her father for any way he caused her pain, spoke death over her, cursed her, among other things. I also felt led to encourage her to continue forgiving because I felt God strongly wanted to do a great inner healing work in her life.
After we prayed, I asked her to test out her knee again. She said she felt “a little bit” better.
Hallelujah.
God brought healing. Hallelujah.
What I feel is important to take away from this:
1) Healing looks different for everyone. Sometimes God does it right away. Sometimes it’s gradual. Sometimes it’s physical. Sometimes it's emotional. Sometimes it’s both.
2) God encounters are important no matter what He does – a word of knowledge, healing, prophecy, etc. (1 Corinthians 12).
3) Forgiveness brings healing.
4) Forgiveness seems to be the major thing God highlights when I witness to people. Not everyone is as humble as this lady I spoke with. It’s pretty cool when I meet people who are willing to open their hearts up to God at any moment. Humility brings breakthrough!
Please lift up those who are struggling right now with woundedness from Fathers. This could be spiritual fathers, biological fathers, adoptive fathers, father figures, stepfathers….
God bless you all!
